  • Welcome!

    On September 7, 2017 we welcome your child into Dyker Heights Intermediate School.  This will be an exciting experience for your child as they take the next step on the ladder of education.  In order to assist you and your child with this transition, attached you will find some of the details you may find helpful in your planning for those first days of the 2017-2018 school year.

  • YDR SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM

    Summer Camp 2017 applications are now available! You may pick up an application any time between 2:30pm – 4:30pm from the Program Director Takia French. We have limited spots available and the program is first come first serve.  The program will run from 7/10  through 8/4 from 9:15am to 3:15pm.

  • Grade Trips

    Criteria for attending ALL GRADE trips:

    Students must have Excellent (E) or Satisfactory (S) conduct each quarter.
    No more than six (6) absences or lateness per quarter (absent notes are considered)
    Students with poor conduct/referrals are not permitted to attend.
    Academic success in subject areas

    6th Grade Trip - April 21st- I Play America ($62)- permission slips will go home on March 29th

    8th Grade Trip- May 16th - Adventure Land- ( Approximately $95)Permission slips will go home  end of April

Attire


All students must wear appropriate attire suitable for the significance of the occasion.

BOYS
  • Must wear the red tie that they were given as well as a COLLARED shirt (white looks best).
  • Must wear dress pants and dress shoes.
  • NO JEANS!
  • NO SNEAKERS!
GIRLS
  • No flip-flops. 
  • White collar must be attached to the graduation gown before graduation day.
  • Wear shoes that you can walk in.  (It is recommended that shoes are broken in beforehand.  Practice walking with them on cement so they are not slippery.)

Important Graduation Information:

Graduation will be June 21st at 10:00am

Students must arrive NO LATER THAN 9:00am

The following items are PROHIBITED; students cannot carry them during the ceremony:

  • Book-bags, purses, or any other bag/carrier
  • Phones (or any other electronic devices)
  • Camera 
  • Flowers (wrist corsage is okay-nothing can be pinned to the gown)

Please be aware that the Ford Amphitheater will be conducting a scanned security check upon entry to the theater.

Tickets

4 TICKETS PER FAMILY

Everyone must have a ticket to enter (INCLUDING CHILDREN)

There are NO EXTRA TICKETS.

It is not recommended that children attend.
