  • Aunt Butchies

    Dear Parents and Staff,

     The holiday season is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate the holidays than with a dessert from Aunt Butchie’s to share with your family and friends.  We have partnered up with Aunt Butchie’s Desserts to bring to you their delicious cakes at a discounted price.  Aunt Butchie’s will donate a portion of the sales to I.S.201!  All proceeds from this sale will go to the “TOYS FOR TOTS” Foundation.

     If you would like to place an order, please complete the order form attached and return it to the Main Office with full payment (cash or check payable to I.S.201) no later than Friday, December 16th.

     Your order will be delivered to school on Thursday, December 22nd.  You can pick up your order at 1:00 pm on December 22nd. If you cannot pick up your order at the time specified, your child can pick it up during 8th period (1:30 pm) that day.

8th Grade Promotion Criteria & Trip Eligibility

Promotional Criteria for 8th grade students for the 2016-2017 school year is as follows:

  • Students must score a Level 2 or higher on both the NYS Math and Language Arts (ELA) Exams
  • Students must pass all four major subjects; ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.

Students must meet the criteria above in order to be promoted to high school. 

Additionally, attendance at the graduation ceremony is a privilege and earned through meeting the promotional criteria and good behavior.  Students may be prohibited from attending the graduation ceremony and other senior activities (e.g. dances, trips, student faculty games, etc.) due to disciplinary issues, attendance or lateness. 

Criteria for attending trips/field day/senior activities are as follows:

  • Students must have Excellent (E) or Satisfactory (S) conduct each quarter.
  • No more than six (6) absences or lateness per quarter (absent notes are considered)
  • Students with poor conduct/referrals are not permitted to attend.
  • Academic success in subject areas
