As a reminder, the SHSAT moved to a digital format during the Fall 2025 administration. This year, the SHSAT will be a computer adaptive exam. Promotional Criteria & Senior Activity Criteria For Grade 8 Students
Promotional Criteria for 8th Grade Students:
- Students must pass all four major subjects in order to be promoted to high school: ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- Attendance at the graduation ceremony is a privilege and earned through meeting promotional criteria and exhibiting good behavior.
- Students may be prohibited from attending the graduation ceremony and other senior activities due to disciplinary issues, attendance, or lateness.
Criteria for attending senior activities are as follows:
- Students must have Excellent (E) or Satisfactory (S) conduct each quarter.
- Students must have academic success in subject areas.
- Students with poor conduct and/or referrals, poor attendance/latenesses are not permitted to attend.
